Art Soup

Art Soup is a youth arts and wellbeing space led by youth! It was started in 2021 by Fred Struve, Theo Struve, Hannah Hsieh and Raven Whatu-Joseph, 4 rangatahi ages 14-18 at the time who applied for & were awarded Ministry of Culture and Heritage funding by themselves. In 2024, we had over 700 recorded participations at Art Soup. We have a regular weekly schedule and lots of one-off events, as well as being a base for planning youth events in the community.

Art Soup has become a place that people around Aotearoa know, and we have shared our local stories on national radio, podcasts, and at live events.

We value:

self-expression, kindness, creativity, inclusivity, health, hauora/wellbeing and sustainability

Join our regular art and music sessions, Rainbow Youth group nights, open studio times and more!

Do you need a space to meet, dream, plan, and get support for your arts/wellbeing project or idea? Get in touch!
